Questions
Do my customers need to install an app?
No. The pass goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, which are already on their phone. There's no account to create.
What if they have neither Apple Wallet nor Google Wallet?
They keep the order page open: it stays awake and chimes when it's ready. On Android they can also turn on notifications. On iPhone only a Wallet pass can alert a locked phone, and the page tells them so.
Does it work with my POS?
If your POS can call an API or print a QR code on the receipt, yes. Otherwise your team creates the order on the tablet by typing its number.
What do I need to start?
An account, then a tablet, phone or computer at the counter. Setup happens in the browser: your business, your colours, a test order, then the tablet.
Can several tablets work at once?
Yes. If two people tap Ready for the same order, the customer is alerted once.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing automatic: no charge without your say-so. Until online payment opens, nothing is charged.
